WHY PRAY WHEN GOD KNOWS WHAT I NEED?

Why should you pray when God already knows what you need? That's a really good question and I get asked that a LOT! The purpose of prayer is not to "inform" God of anything. He's God, so He see and knows all. Prayer is a kingdom tool for YOU to utilize, so YOU can learn more about God. The purpose of prayer is for you to develop a relationship with the Father. How do you learn something about someone without talking to them? The answer is simple, you can't. The same holds true in the spiritual realm. Yes.... God knows everything about you, and what you're going through. The purpose of prayer is for you to learn the ways and mind of God. It is during these intimate times of prayer that He not only can reveal His plan, but give you peace about whatever challenges you're facing. Not only that, but we are instructed in Philippians 4:6 "Do not worry about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done." You see, this scripture not only instructs us to tell God our needs, but to praise him! When you begin to tell God your needs, it opens up the avenue for praise during a time that you wouldn't normally offer it up to him. I encourage you to seek God daily, telling him all of the things that you are need of, and offering praises to Him!
